The location of this hotel was great, with easy access to public transportation and convenient for exploring the nearby attractions. The room we stayed in was cozy and clean, with a comfortable bed for a good night's sleep. The communal area downstairs was a nice touch, with a fridge and tea/coffee making facilities available.
The early checkout time, which didn't give us much time to relax and enjoy our morning. the check-in time was quite late, which was a bit inconvenient.

loved staying at the hostel in Anstruther again, but this time at Murray Library. Exceeded expectations with spacious room, stunning harbor view, and thoughtful amenities like blackout curtains and binoculars. Perfect location near shops, restaurants, and the Fife Coastal Path. Couldn't have asked for more!

Our stay at Murray Library was absolutely amazing. The hosts were incredibly helpful and kind, making us feel right at home. The hostel itself is beautiful, with a charming library theme and all the necessary facilities for backpackers. The view from our room overlooking the harbor and town church was simply stunning. The spacious room had a lovely sink and the windows provided a great view. We enjoyed the convenience of the shower and toilet, as well as the well-equipped kitchen and cozy lounge area with a piano. The location of the hostel, right across the street from the harbor and close to the beach, was unbeatable. Falling asleep to the sound of waves crashing against the shore was incredibly soothing.
Although the radiator only worked during certain hours in the evening and at night, it didn't significantly impact our stay. Additionally, it would have been nice to have a bedside light and a comfortable chair in the room.

Great location in a charming village with beautiful views. Close to the Fife Coastal Path and bus stops. Comfortable and clean beds. Friendly and helpful staff. Well-stocked kitchen with snacks and beverages. Good shower with powerful water pressure.
No room key or luggage lock. Limited number of bathrooms which could be an issue if the hostel is busy.

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful property right on the beach. The kitchen and common areas were lovely, and the views over the bay and harbor were stunning. The staff at Murray Library were extremely helpful and friendly, making our experience even better. Anstruther is a charming Scottish town, perfect for those looking to explore a more remote part of Scotland. Highly recommend!
Nothing, no complaints at all. 😊

We had a fantastic stay at Murray Library! The charm of the old library added a unique touch to our experience. Our private room was spacious and offered splendid sea views. The staff, especially Sofie, was super-friendly and helpful. The facilities were spotlessly clean and the shared kitchen had everything we needed. The location was perfect, with easy access to the town. we highly recommend this hostel!
Just one minor drawback was the limited street parking, especially during high season. However, the hostel should mention that the free parking is actually street parking in the town to help manage client expectations.
